IMPLANT EDUCATION FOR THE TOTAL DENTAL TEAM

ICOl PRESS RELEASEDr. Carol R. Waldman of North York. ON Canada earned Diplomate status within the International Congress of Oral Implantologists (ICOl) on October 4, 2013.

The awarding of Diplomate status is the highest honor a professional society such as the ICOl can bestow on a dental professional involved in oral implantology. The ICOl conducts a Diplomate program in which active members are encouraged to achieve Diplomate status through their efforts in education, research and actual clinical experience. Advance Credential Committee interviews and testing are required. All Diplomates of the ICOl may choose to list the designate “D.I.CO.I.” after their names.

The International Congress of Oral Implantologists is a tax-exempt, non-profit, dental educational organization. It is dedicated to communicating scientific knowledge and improving the clinical practice of dental implantology worldwide. The ICOl has public information programs, publishes a bimonthly journal and quarterly newsletters. It conducts numerous scientific symposia each year and supports research through its Implant Dentistry Research and Education Foundation (IDREF).
